FAQ's

Do I need a referral?

No, you do not need a referral to make an appointment to see me. However, if you would like to claim under Medicare, you will need a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or a Eating Disorders Management Plan (EDMP) from your GP or Psychiatrist prior to attending your first appointment.

A MHCP will allow you to have up to 10 rebated sessions per calendar year. A EDMP will allow you to have up to 40 medicare rebated sessions per calendar year.

Can I get a rebate?

Yes. If you have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) or an Eating Disorders Management Plan (EDMP), then you will qualify for a Medicare rebate. Please ensure this is provided prior to your appointment.

Some private health insurers will also provide a rebate. The amount will vary depending on your insurer and type of cover. Please consult your private health insurer before your appointment.

How long does each therapy session take and what does it cost?

Each session lasts for 50 minutes. The cost of the session is $260 and is payable at the time of your appointment. If you qualify for a Medicare rebate, you will receive $141.85 back into your account, usually within 24 hours if not sooner.

What should I do to prepare for my first session?

It's really up to you. You can just show up and I'll guide you through the process. If you want to prepare, then perhaps consider writing a few notes on your history, what's problematic for you in your life recently, what you'd like to see less of in your life, and what you'd like to see more of in your life.

It will save precious session time if you have filled out the forms that I sent you and provided any necessary paperwork before your appointment.

Where can I park?

2 hour parking is available behind the building. The Stones Corner Villiage Aldi car park (enter via Cleveland St) is a 2 minute walk away and has free 2 hour parking.

Please feel free to bring a drink from one of the nearby coffee shops.
